I really want to go to here. I have already finished my essays, and tomorrow will be the first day of my senior year. Does anyone have advice for what I should do my remaining months before application?

Some other questions:

Does it benefit the student to apply very early, such as September or October? Do many students receive early decision replies much earlier than December 15? And do colleges see the grades I make this first semester of senior year?

You’ve got a really good shot. Make sure your essays are amazing. Have your English teacher read it. Have a parent read it. Reread it ten thousand times to make sure it’s as strong as possible. Gallatin puts a lot of emphasis on the essay.

It does not benefit you to apply early, except for your own peace of mind. I would recommend finishing your application and submitting it a week or two in advance at least; that way you have time to deal with any unforeseen problems.

I think LSP students were notified earlier last year. Otherwise it’s around the 15th. (I received my letter on the 14th.)

Your high school will have to send your final transcript to the college you end up attending at the end of the year, but NYU will not see your grades in the decision process.

Good luck! Enjoy your senior year!

Thank you so much for the quick and informative reply.
