What are my chances of being accepted into CU Boulder?

Hello,

I am a rising senior so college applications are coming up. I really need clarification if I have a good chance of attending the University of Colorado-Boulder. My tests scores, grades, and extracurriculars are listed below.

My school offers 17 AP classes and, by the end of my senior year, I will have taken 14 of those classes.

9th grade: Human Geography

10th grade: Biology and World History

11th grade: Calculus BC, English Language and Composition, Chemistry, US History. Environmental Science, Studio Art

12th grade: Statistics, Literature and Composition, Physics 1, Economics, Government and Civics, Studio Art (2 year class)

I have straight A’s. I am treasurer for the National Honors Society and have been a member for two years. I co-founded my school’s Film Club and served as treasurer/secretary/vice-president for two years. I am part of the Upward Bound program and have participated in the TRiO Leadership Program. I took and passed Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation (giving me three (3) transferable credit). I have been a part of the Los Angeles ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) Mentor Program for three years. I did the Los Angeles Service Academy for a year. I have been awarded the Wellesley College Book Award. I am also in CalTech’s Community Science Academy.

Although I have okay extracurriculars, my test scores are rather poor. I’ve only taken the SAT and ACT ones; followed are my scores.

SAT:
CR: 620
M: 650
W: 660

ACT Composite: 27
English: 28
Math: 31
Reading: 26
Science: 24

Which score is better? Which score should I send to colleges?

It’s especially bad since my science is the lowest score (due to not completing an entire section) yet I want to go into a science field. I will, however, be receiving a recommendation letter from a physics teacher who is an alumni of CU Boulder. Does it hold more weight that an alumni is recommending me or does it hold the same weight as if he didn’t attend?

Realistically, what are my chances of getting accepted into CU Boulder? What can I do my senior year to better my chances? I’m very bad at testing and I really don’t think I can increase my score much for the SAT or ACT in the span of 3 or so months.

Thanks in advance for any response!

What’s your GPA?

Unweighted, I have a 4.0. Weighted, I have a 5.0.

Is there anyway you can retake the SAT?

Yes, I will be retaking it in the fall.

You should get in. Their acceptance % is around 80% and your ACT is above average for them.
