Alright, so I'm a rising senior (Black male, currently 17). About to apply for Early Action on October 15th for Georgia Tech and UGA and I would like to know my chances of getting accepted (or deffered, then accepted during Regualr Decision) to either college

GPA:
Unweighted: 3.56
Weighted: 3.7 (done on the GT GPA scale)

SAT: 1900
ACT: Taking in September
SAT II Subject Test: Math II; Take in October

By the end of my senior year I will have taken 9 AP Courses and 6 Honors Courses
AP Biology
AP Calculus BC
AP Government
AP Language
AP Literature
AP Microeconomics
AP Physics
AP Psychology
AP World History

I'm involved in many clubs such as:
BETA Club
Math Club
Science Club
FBLA
Student Council
DECA
Spanish Club
Volleyball Manager (not really a club, but it was fun haha)
Piano and Guitar

I have an FBLA Business, Achievement, and Honors award

Those are all the credentials that currently come to mind, but if there's anything else I could do or any reccomandations I would love to hear from all of you!!!

Well that’s good to hear! Is there anything specifically that I need to approve or add that could still better my chances for getting accepted into both schools?

I think you would get into both schools! Go look up Gtech and UGA’s admission statistics, but I’m pretty sure you would be in their normal admitted student range. Try to get straight A’s your first quarter and you should be set! Good luck!

I think you are good to go for UGA, but raise your GPA a little just in case for GT. GT has been rejected a lot of pretty good applicants lately.

Yeah, my main focus is Georgia Tech because I want to major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in either Computer or Software Engineering (or maybe do a double major with Mechanical and one of the other two), but I am a little worried about being able to increase my GPA from a 3.7 to a 3.8 in the fall semester of my Senior year

GT-probably not. Average SAT this past year was a 2150. Being in-state helps but I would honestly not get your hopes up. Thankfully, GT isn’t extremely hard to get into you so you may be able to squeeze in, just do not skimp on the essays they’ll be huge for you.

UGA- Probably. I’d give you like 85% at UGA, 35% at GT.
