What are my chances of getting financial aid back?

I’m currently on financial aid probation and I’m passing all my classes. The requirement is that I maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher and pass 67% of all cumulative attempted course hours. The problem is I did so terrible last semester that even if I pass all my classes this semester I will only be able to reach 64% pace of progression. If I do get my financial aid withdrawn I won’t be able to take classes to raise my pace to get my financial aid back. My reason is that I was severely depressed and as a result flunked all my classes. This semester I did significantly better than my first year and I can prove through my passing grades that I’m capable of taking college seriously this time. However I don’t have any documented proof to back me up, what are my chances of of appealing for financial aid for next semester? This is the first time and I know I won’t make that mistake again. But I don’t know if the people who read my letter will take my depression into consideration since it’s personal issue and not something uncontrollable like an accident or death of someone close to me.

This is determined by your school. We have no way of telling you what they will decide.

But the higher your grades, the better your chance. Also, did you get some help, for the issues that caused you to fail all of your classes? Most schools would want to see proof of THAT to.
