Ok so I applied to Temple University and I was just wondering what my chances were of getting in.

My GPA is fairly low (2.9 a lot of issues in high school) and I got a 22 on the ACT (without prep, plan on retaking in December). I've take 5 AP classes throughout my high school career along with numerous Honors classes (not sure of the actual number). I'm involved with my schools Student Government and community service club. Also not sure if this matters but I have take 4 years of Math, Science, History, and English.

I need honest answers please, like I said I already applied, right now just waiting to retake the ACT so I can send the new score in.

Thanks!

Your GPA is on the low side however if I were you I would explain in your application that you were willing to sacrifice an A to challenge yourself by taking AP courses. As always, any outside of school E.C’s will improve your chances. I’d say you have fair chances but you can improve them by explaining your situation and improve that ACT score.

Chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1706041-university-of-minnesota-twin-cities.html#latest

Retake the ACT, prepare thoroughly (use websites and prep books - look at your public or school library’s holdings), and shoot for a 24. Then your odds will be very good. Congratulations on the course rigor in particular!

you seem competitive enough for Temple, but increasing your ACT score may be more attractive to Temple Admissions.

Thanks man I appreciate it, I just got done taking the ACT yesterday so I’ll keep you posted when the results come out
