I know this post is not at all unique, yet I ask you all for some much needed guidance. I am currently a high school senior seriously confused by all of the information out there about my chances of getting into Ivies, especially Brown (PLME 8 yr med program)and UPenn (as they are my top choices). I am currently trying to figure out which one I should apply Early Decision to, as I love both equally. I am currently interested in going pre-med, but am also an Indian girl living in a mostly upper middle class county with parents who went to graduate school. Since there are so many people like me applying for this type of program, I am wondering what my chances of me getting into these schools will be. Here are some elements of my resume that I am wondering whether they will hurt/help my chances of getting in the context of where I live and what my background is:
SCHOLASTIC INFORMATION:
-34 on ACT-35 superscore (is it true that all Ivies secretly superscore the ACT even though some say they won’t?)
-95.7 (96) unweighted/98.9 (99) weighted average (have taken as many APs/honors level courses offered in my school-especially the science/math classes)
-5s on AP Bio/Macro/US history
-Currently taking 5 APs during the course of the year
-790 SAT 2 Bio/760 SAT 2 Math 2

-Mentor will write letter of recommendation (how much weight will this carry?)
