What are my chances of getting into Cornell? Spring 2017

Im a typical high school slacker. 80 overall GPA, good test scores 28 ACT, 2000 SAT. I played 3 sports all four years of high school and was a very high level diver. Nothing like an Indiana, Penn state level, but I can easily dive for a D3 school and do very well. So, all in all, I was an underachiever in high school and rather than compromising, I chose to attend a community college for 2, 3 or 4 semesters.

So far I have liked my CC and done well. 3.60 GPA in high level classes: Calc 2, Inorganic, Organic chem Biology classes ect. I re-took my ACT and got a 30, I did very well in everything other than english, I scored a 22 on that section.

Im now in my third semester of college and I have my top choice: Cornell. I want to know my chances of getting in, or if i’m completely off the mark by applying. My EC’s are solid probably an 8/10 in my mind. 40 hour a week job, 2 sport athlete, semi professional MMA fighter, I mentor a kids class at my local gym too. Lastly, I’m a chess national master ranked within the top 300 players in the USA. On my application, I go into detail.

Honestly, I never applied to college other than my CC. I dont know what to expect. If im crazy for thinking I can get into Cornell, please tell me. The other schools I’m applying to are: Baylor, BU, Claremont McKenna, Cornell, Emory, Middlebury and William and Mary.

Someone please tell me if i’m crazy for thinking I have a chance.

@GirlyJiuJitzu your whole application looks to be very strong, most places are at least possible IMO. Some of the schools are test-optional for transfers, so you do not need to submit them if you choose not to.
