I currently have a 2.8 GPA. I'm now going to be a junior and I haven't really worked to my full potentials (actually, I haven't really worked at all, I'm even surprised that my GPA is at a 2.8). I use to get GREAT grades through my first 8 years in school, Its just that different circumstances have been presented throughout my first two years in high school. I use to always be into school, eager to learn, and a hard worker. I really want to get back to working hard these next two years and beyond. WHEN I get my GPA up (and I can see myself taking and doing a great job on both the sat and act) Sat goal: 2100 act goal: 30 (I know it seems crazy but I can actually do it). Ive spent this summer studying vigorously for the sats and Ive improved immensely in my weaknesses. Do you think I can still get into a great university? (preferably FSU) Can you also give me some advice on the additional and necessary steps I need to take to get where I want to go?

Get you some good ECs or extra curricular activities. When you get your GPA up, join the Beta club or your school’s high grades clubs.

You definitely want to get that 2.8 up.

I see you having little problems getting into Florida State, but sometimes some programs and majors have their own requirements. Go to FSU’s site, look at your potential major’s department, and talk to some people about what they look for in freshman in their major.

Thank you! I’m going to do whatever it takes to get admitted.
