What are my chances of getting into Fordham or NYU?

<p>I live in California but i would really love to study in New York.</p>

<p>My grades are pretty good. I have a GPA of 3.78 unweighted and 4.27 weighted.
I have a good amount of EC (i think). I participated in high school mariachi for 3 years, played softball for 3 and have been captain for all three years, a member of my church choir, and participate in 2 school clubs.
My test scores are fairly average i guess. In the SAT's i got a 1560 and in the ACT's i got a 23.
Ive also taken honors and AP classes my four years of high school.</p>

<p>Your GPA is quite competitive for these schools, but standardized test scores are low. I’d say high match or low reach probably. Honestly GPA and SAT/ACT are going to be more important than ECs at these colleges. </p>

<p>Should I just not bother applying and save myself money ?</p>

<p>NYU is a reach because of your SAT scores. Fordham is more fit for you than NYU.</p>
