If it’s to decide whther to apply or not . . looks like a fairly good shot.
If it’s to avoid diasappointment if you don’t get in . . . nothing’s a lock these days.
If it’s to start doing something different in your life . . . do what you love and the right college will accept you.
If it’s to know if you have a greater than 50% chance . . . 28% of applicants with SATs over 2300 were accepted at Princeton.

It’s more of a lottery than ever.
So, as a realistic matter Ivies are a reach or semi-reach for everyone.

Keep on doing what you enjoy doing, apply in the Fall, apply to a couple of safeties, too, and . . . good luck!!!

You’ll probably get into one out of the three. Apply to the other top 10 schools as well and I would use Berkley/LA as my safeties since you’re Asian.

haha we have very similiar stats. (almost identical in fact)
It looks very good, or hopefull it does to the college admission officers. Just don’t make dumb mistakes on the Math II and beat your old chem score when you take Physics. I’m sure you’ll get into at least one of the Top colleges you listed. And yes apply to other schools as well.

i agreee with the above posts, really for those guys the essays are so crucial. your stats will place you in a fantastic position to knock’em over with your essays. its kinda like you’ve blocked their kick, and they are totally open for that reverse punch, so give it to them in the essays!!! I think i disagree on the plethora of ECs, being a black belt is a great feat ( i had to stop at green it was getting a bit too taxing with my other stuff), and you seem to enjoy music too. Write about the lessons and the struggles and deliver that punch!!

kvmpk, you are from california arn’t you? lol. Well if u are, I am too, and I did Certificate of Merit for Piano as well :D

Anyways, your SAT scores are good enough for those Ivies you are looking at (high than mine >_<) However I would focus more on those SAT II’s…

IB Diploma will give you a special edge, especially with those colleges that focus on humanities (ex. Yale, Harvard). You have an awesome GPA and workload.

Bad news, your EC’s look a bit weak. Did you get any awards or research? (those are important, especially for MIT)

I feel like I’m repeating myself, hehe, but really when it comes down to the wire like this, it’s the essay. If you can show the colleges that you are different than all the other applicants, and that you want this more than anyone else, you will get in. Guaranteed. However, if you don’t do this, they will write you off as generic.

If I were you, I would start developing your own unique perspective on life, and try to see if you can translate it to paper.
