What are my chances of getting into McGill?

I have wanted to go to McGill for as long as I can remember. I am applying for 2015 fall admission. I am in the IB program (which is terrible) and I have a 3.70 gpa and 4.78 weighted gpa. I have about a 90% average from Junior year and I do not have my Senior year grades yet. I have a 25 on my act (I know, not good) I am taking it again in December but my best scores in each subject are:
English 30
Math 23
Science 26
Reading 28
I am applying for Arts but with the hope of transferring to Management. I hope to get my act score up by at least one point. So, what are my chances?

No chance with a 25. McGill is a great school.

I am trying to get that score up. If I could get up to a 26-27, do you think I have a shot?

Does anyone think I have a shot…

Your senior year grades are going to be really important. Also, the courses that relate directly to the faculty that you designate on the application will be given extra weight. When we interviewed, we were told that “course marks” were the most important consideration (again sr year heavily weighted).

I am probably going to end up with a 90% average again senior year. @Leyland‌ are you at McGill or did you apply there?

Applying, and attended tour, faculty interview, and overview for prospective freshmen. Also, there is a girl from my hs and neighborhood who is a 3rd year there, and she gave me valuable info.

Okay I gotcha. What is a faculty interview? Is there any other info that you can give me? @Leyland‌

Also, @Leyland‌ are you applying as an American student?

Thank you by the way @Leyland‌

Yes, American. Has anyone from your HS gone to McGill? It’s the best way for you to predict your chances. Also, write to the admissions person who covers your geo region. Their names and emails are on the website.

No, no one in my school has gone to McGill, but my cousin is currently at McGill but it is different because he applied from a Canadian school so there are different requirements. McGill doesn’t do interviews or letters of recommendation, right? @Leyland

I think you can request a faculty meeting when you tour for sure, but definitely not required No Teacher req’s; they just get thrown in trash.

Alright! Thank you for your help! If you have any other info, please let me know! I really want to go to McGill!! @Leyland‌
