Im currently a student at a community college and a LVN (licensed vocational nurse) at a state prison trying to gain some experience. Ive only taken 2 courses so far, anatomy & physiology and chemistry part 1 and have 3.85 gpa rite now...NYU nursing program has no definate prereqs list so i have decided to use their freshman and sophmore curriculum as a guide. Im planning on taking chem part2, anatomy 1, physiology2, stats, microbiology, anthropology, english 1 & 2, and maybe a dance class or something if i can fit it in. If i maintain my gpa or raise it .. would i have a good chance of being accepted into NYU nursing program? what else can i do to make my application stronger? Anyone know what the average accepted transfer nursing students profile would look like? I used to have really bad grades back in high school and my SAT scores were very low, plus Im 20 years old .. would that affect my admissions rate? Any insight would be very helpful. thank you : )
