What are my chances of getting into SCU?

Hi! I’ve applied to SCU for Fall 2017 for Arts and Sciences. I’m currently attending Foothill College and my GPA is 3.87. I applied as a senior in high school but because of my low SAT scores and average GPA I was rejected. My sister is an alumni of SCU if that makes any difference. As far as EC’s go, I was on the soccer team in high school for 3 years and captain for 2, Latino Student Union club president, assistant coach for a middle school soccer team, I worked retail, and I’m currently working at a Youth Activity Center as a recreation leader. Lastly, I was a tutor (not paid) for a child who had recently moved from Mexico and was trying to learn English. I got a letter of rec from my English professor and I’d like to think my personal statement and responses were strong. Any help would be appreciated!

They will not put a lot of emphasis on your high school information or low SAT scores.
What is important is your current college GPA and recommendation letters. Hopefully most of your classes are transferable! That will be the key, if many of the classes are not transferable, your GPA, won’t make that much of a difference.

@EGAH54 Yeah I followed their articulation agreement with my community college while still paying attention to the IGETC so I don’t think I’ll have much of a problem with that.
