What are my chances of getting into the following Cal States?

Hello, this is my first post on CC
I've just joined today because others around me are already receiving acceptance letters from Cal States and I have not yet received a single thing. I am starting to become anxious because my stats aren't necessarily the best and I only applied to 4 thinking I would be safe but I'm starting to really become nervous. Can someone tell me the chances I have of getting into :
San Diego State University (I really doubt I will get into SDSU but it was worth a shot)
Cal State Fullerton
Cal State San Marcos
Cal State Monterey Bay
My GPA is a 2.94 and my SAT is a 1580.
I know, my stats aren't the best. Please be brutally honest, if needed.

CSUF: Match
SDSU (San Diego): Reach
CSUSM: Match
CSUMB: Match
SDSU (South Dakota): Low match

Not all of the CSUs notify before March. I think SDSU notifies in the spring

Do you intend to go to a Cal State for a major whose job prospects are state-sensitive (i.e. a degree earned in a state can’t allow you to work in another)?

Catria, what did you mean by SDSU being a reach?
And I’m assuming match means I’ll be accepted?

Catria, I don’t know what my degree will be worth. I am majoring in Chemistry.

A match means you have about as much chance to get in as being rejected.

A reach is pretty hard to get in.

I gave you an OOS suggestion that had rolling admissions and had a chemistry major, costing about the same as a CSU would: South Dakota State. You can apply there if you’re rejected everywhere else.

OOS? Sorry I’m new to this site and do not yet know all of the acronyms just yet lol
And would South Dakota’s registration still be open as of right now?
Thank you for all your help it is greatly appreciated.

OOS: out-of-state

But, if you think South Dakota State (or any backup U you might come up with that has holistic admissions) is for you, please list your ECs.

Plus, South Dakota State’s registration is open year-round, or else there wouldn’t be rolling admissions to start with.

Welcome AfricanScholar, I just signed up here on CC this month too. I’m also looking at cal states like you, especially San Diego State x) From what I know about these cal states:

San Marcos + Monterey Bay: Low Match to Match, you should be fine for these campuses since its not heavily sought after (aka applied to)

Fullerton: Match to High Match, Fullerton is a big school but still loads of applications (I recall about 40,000 to 45,000 applicants) so it is more competitive and holds a bit higher standards

San Diego: Low Reach to Reach, sorry but San Diego State is the second best cal state (behind cal poly in San Luis obispo) and the standards are pretty high and your GPA isn’t quite up to par. The average GPA of freshman coming into SDSU is 3.64 I believe. I’m a junior in high school right now and I have 3.5 Unweighted GPA and SDSU will still be a decent challenge for ME to get into. Chances here are slim unfortunately

What is your SAT out of also? 1600 or 2400?

If you need any help on the lingo or terms used here, message me and I can try and help you as best as you can. Good Luck!
