Throughout my 4 years of high school I have been taking AP and DP classes for 2 years of them :
Freshman Year:
AP History
AP Biology
Sophmore:
NONE
Junior:
DP Lit and Lang
DP History
But I also participate in a program called PSEO where I don’t have to take high school classes and just attend school on a college campus. My high school GPA is a 3.3. This semester I am taking 21 credits and maintain a 4.0 GPA for my college GPA. I got a 24 on my ACT and I also live in MN.
I participate in Varsity Soccer, Varsity Track, Key Club, And was also a math tutor at a community college. I also was part of a mentoring program for younger children and got 4 letters of recommendations from my dean, coach and two teachers.
@FreePariah CLA is less selective than some of the other colleges, however, it is definitely not a walk-in. I know many people who have been rejected by CLA. From what I gather from other threads about last year however you are a competitive applicant for admission @jdhksfdsm
Your grades are headed in the right direction and the PSEO will definitely help because it provides evidence of college-readiness. The ACT is below the 25th percentile for CLA so might suggest it’s a bit of a reach (offset to some extent by the PSEO). What was your second choice because you seem competitive for CEHD/CFANS at the very least. Good luck to you!
