What are my chances of getting into UCLA/USC?

I am currently a junior and I really want to attend UCLA. What are my chances?
My current unweighted GPA is a 4.0. Weighted, it is about a 4.5.
I play varsity tennis and run varsity track.
My extra curricular activities include playing the piano, flute, piccolo, learning the language Farsi, and playing tennis.
I started a club at my school this year, I am also part of a few other clubs.
I have been in the advanced high school band for sophomore and junior year, and in the intermediate band freshman year.
My freshman GPA was a 3.9 for both semesters (I got a B in PE)
My Sophomore GPA was a 4.14, unweighted 4.0. My school doesn't weight honors, only AP.
I'm a national merit finalist,
I have around 150 hours of CS- I know that this doesn't mean much, as all applicants have community service, but I thought I'd include it.
Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

SAT/ACT? 10char

Yeah, if you do well on your SAT’s, you’re pretty much in to both. Of course, no one’s guaranteed in, but you look like you’ve done your best. If you happen to not get into UCLA, then you’ll prob get into berkeley (I’ve seen so many ppl this year get only into ucla or berkeley, not both, i believe the rumors that the UC’s do this on purpose so that they’re able to extend more admissions to more ppl) And you’ll prob get into USC too, and if you 1) get at least 2200 (or in my case at least in the 2100’s) you’ll have a high chance of getting one of the scholarships if you also have 2)kick-ass essay/unique statements

2220 sat, not sure if i’m going to take ACT…
What subject tests would you suggest?

I would say you have excellent chances, just make sure to write good essays, and it never hurts to work on more EC’s besides school clubs. Even so, right now your chances look very good! And as st4rlight124 said, if you don’t get into UCLA you have good chances at UCB.

Yup I mirror the other sentiments.

mmm try to do different subject tests? I mean, if i remember correctly math II is required. But I don’t think they weigh the subject tests that much. and yeah, that’s a strong SAT score, so I really wouldn’t worry about taking the ACT either. again, no guarantees though (someone from my high school had SAT of over 2300 but didn’t get into ucla, and another person who got waitlisted ucla and accepted to princeton…)

pretty good chances. work on your personal statements early! but yeah it’s random and some really good applicants can get rejected too

Hi, I’m a sophomore, white, and in the top 5% of my class (a class of about 650). I will have taken about 6 AP’s before I graduate, and all other classes as honors. I currently have a weighted 4.2-4.4 GPA (but this can easily change).

As for EC’s, I don’t really have any. There is a moderately high possibility that I will do marching band next year. For ACT, I’m pretty sure I can get at least a 27, maybe higher.

Can I get in, or at least do you have any suggestions?
