I am a white female and a junior in high school. I come from an upper middle class family and I live in California. I would love to go to either UCSB or UCSD, and I would be thrilled to get into UCLA. What do you think my chances are of getting into any of these three schools? I aspire to major in linguistics and UCLA has the best linguistics program in the world; I even took linguistics 1 at UCLA this summer and got an A.
I have only taken the SAT once so far, but I’m signed up to take it twice more. I got a 1910 (640 CR, 660 W, 610 M). I’ve heard the W score doesn’t matter much but since I want to get into the linguistics field I believe it will have some more weight. I also intend to get my scores up by at least 50 points each.
I am not sending in my ACT score.
These are my grades from sophomore year each semester:
Spanish 2: A, A
AP Euro: B, B
Honors English 2: B, B
Honors Physiology: A, A
