What are my chances of getting into UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County)

I REALLY want to go there.

my weighted gpa is a 3.583

my only sat had math 640 crit read 640 and writing 600 (1880 total)

I have 5 Ap classes and 8 honors classes currently but will have 9 ap classes ( including calc 1, calc 2 and comp sci) by the time I graduate

I took 3 years of French

I played varsity Tennis

A clean record

involved in best buddies (special ed) for 3 years, CAI club, interact club, and a (soon to be) 4 year SGA member. (although I did not hold a formal position in these clubs)

my grades have been trending upwards (with a junior year gpa of 3.31 unweighted and 3.875 weighted. 4 ap's, 1 honors)

thanks guys

b to the umppp

re-bump …

I don’t know too much about the college (I only am familiar with Maryland’s main campus), that being said your grades are fairly good, same with SAT scores, maybe try and raise your GPA a little bit. Also it would be a good idea to try and hold a position or two in the clubs you are most involved in…

You have a good chance, but if you could raise you SAT up it would even further increase your stats.

You, don’t make fun of special ed kids, I am special ed (ADHD) and I am ****ing awesome.

I wasn’t making fun of special ed kids… Best Buddies is an organization that creates a bridge between gen ed and special ed students and helps them make friends and go to social events. Its really a great club.

but anyways, will early admission/decision hurt my chances?

pleaaaseee guyssss

I’d be shocked if you didn’t get in in any decision. Believe me you are fine. You will NOT be rejected from UMBC. If I were you, I’d even aim towards Loyola. You can make it in there as well, and UMD College Park. It’s not out of the question

bemp…
