Hey guys i was wondering what are my chances of getting into upenn. I have a decent sat score, 2150 super scored (720 Critical Reading, 720 Writing, 710 Math). My gpa unweighted is 3.79, weighted is 4.55. I have taken a pretty rigorous course load in all my years in high school. In my freshman year i took honors chem, in my sophomore year i took ap chem, ap nsl, and hon bio, in my junior year i took hon physics, ap bio, ap lang, ap micro/ap macro, ap world, and ap ab calc, and next year i plan on taking ap euro, ap bc calc, ap psych, ap physics, hon english, and ap stat. I have been doing swimming for my school for 3 years (going on to 4) and will get on varsity swimming by senior year. I have done track for my sophmore and junior year, and will continue to do track for my senior year. I have founded my own club, a Make-A-Wish chapter at my school for my senior year. I am also a part of several other clubs such as a tutoring program, an ambassadors program, an Asian american club, and NHS. I have attended this summer internship called GEMS, which is basically an engineering camp sponsored by the army.
UPenn(Wharton) is my dream school, i was just wondering what are my chances of making it into UPenn and whether or not i should retake my SAT to improve my chances.

Penn has Early Decision, not Early Action…

The SAT score is decent, you should probably retake, how many times have you taken it? Really anything above a 2250 is pretty much the same, unless it’s a 2400. Penn has Early decision meaning that you must attend if accepted, this is compared to Early action which is nonbinding. Wharton is really tough, if you don’t think you’re competitive I would consider applying to CAS if you have your heart set on Penn.

As others said, Early Decision is binding, so make sure you know what that means for you! There are some other great schools with EA if you want to keep your options open. That being said you have as decent chances as any. Keep doing your e.cs, don’t see any related to business finance though.
