Hello all, I was wondering how much of an opportunity I had for the University of South Carolina’s Social Work college?
I think my weighted gpa is around a 3.5-3.6 and my sat is a 1070.
I am a first gen college student, I’ve participated in multiple clubs and extracurriculars that especially highlight my interest in social work, and I am very involved in my school’s choir. I took several AP courses and am continuing to take them in my senior year. I think my personal statement was very strong as well.
I know these stats are low, but I noticed they only have 155 undergrads in their social work college, leading me to believe that despite my low stats I have a shot since it is such a small and unpopular major especially for undergrads. Is this wishful thinking or is my assumption valid? I applied EA and am still waiting for an answer, but all of my interactions with USC have been very pleasant, also making me build up my hopes that I have a chance.
