What are my chances of getting into USC/UCLA/NYU?

I'm a Caucasian high school senior applying to several colleges. USC, UCLA, and NYU are three of my more competitive school I'm applying to. Do I have a good shot with a 4.23 weighted HS gpa (3.68 non weighted), 2110 SAT (CR: 640, M: 690, W: 780), Eagle Scout, Varsity Tennis, club president, keyboardist/singer in a rock band that plays local events, madrigal tenor, and NHS/CSF member? I've also passed 4 AP tests with an average score of 4 and am taking 6 more AP courses this year.

Those colleges I agree are very competitve, but honestly your doing fine. If you have the slightest chance to bump up your unweighted to somewhere in the 3.7 then that is a huge advantage. Your SAT score is remarkable, many top colleges accept scores like that and since your doing a bunch of extra curricular, thats also a boost. Many colleges like it if you take at least 6 APs during high school and your taking 10, man you have a good chance i must say. GOOD LUCK!!!

You have about a 50+% chance on all of them I think. Good luck! Please get me back.

NYU and USC- Target schools while UCLA may be a high match, just because it’s so competitive. Best of luck. Chance me back if you can. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1576381-chance-me-please-will-chance-back.html

Bump bump bump

NYU and USC are mid reaches and UCLA is a low match.

Bump bump bump

your GPA and SAT are slightly above average for both USC and UCLA, and your ECs are pretty impressive as well. I think it really depends on your essays when it comes down to those two schools though. NYU, im not sure simply because although the rank is not impressive, its a really selective school. I think you are match for both USC for UCLA though. Good luck with your essay!

i really only know about nyu because my brother goes there. he had a lower gpa than you (like 3.2 i think) and an ACT score of 32 which i think is lower than what you got. he also defiantly did not have the level of EC’s that you have, which i think are great. also, he only took one ap. lol so i think your good for nyu.
for the rest of them i can say you look very competitive

You might also apply to UC San Diego.

I’m applying to a lot more schools but those three, including UCSD. Thanks for the heads up though!

I think you have great credentials and are at high matches for all these schools. NYU have a lower ranking out of the three. It expensive and offers less aid than the other schools. Based on my research, it is easier to get in. Where are you from? If you are from California, then UC system makes sense financially.

i think all three are in the match range (40-60% chance). good luck!

I’m from California. The reason I’m applying to NYU is because it has a good music program fit.

Being that you’re from California, have good gpa/scores, and have extracurriculars that show dedication, specifically eagle scout, I’ve heard colleges eat that up, I think you have great chances at USC and UCLA. Obviously you’ll need good essays too, but it looks like you should have stuff to write about. NYU, too, but it just wasn’t affected by where you live.

Thanks for the feedback guys!!
