Ok so I'm applying early decision to Vanderbilt as I heard this will give me an advantage and I would love to go there. However my college counselor says its a stretch, but its a possibility if I do early decision so thats what I'm doing. What do you think?

My SAT score is 2070: Writing: 710 Math: 680 and Reading: 680
I don't know my class rank, but my high school is extremely competitive so I'm probably not in the top percent of anything. Hopefully I'm in the top 50% though.

We don't grade on the 4.0 scale, but my GPA for all of high school averaged is 90.35% (remember this is an average of all my averages from freshman year until second semester junior year) However, as I've gotten older, my grades have gotten better each year. So far senior year, my average for just this semester looks like it will be about a 95%, so this should definitely bring up my overall GPA some too.

My course load is about a medium difficulty. I'm only taking 2 APs this year (English and US History) but my school is a competitive private school and the regular classes i'm taking are still tough.

I'm the president of the Economics Club this year
I was active in Young Republicans from 9th grade to 11th
I went to Spain for a month to study abroad the summer before 10th grade
I am part of an organized spirit group this year
I am part of the year book editing staff this year
I played soccer at the JV level in 9th and 10th grade
I am part of the Student Library Advisory Committee this year (1 boy and 1 girl from each grade were chosen to help make decisions concerning the library)
I took Karate for 10 years
I volunteer once a week tutoring children whose parents don't speak english well
I will probably be in the National Honor Society (not sure yet they don't tell us for another couple weeks, but I have all the qualifications to be part of it)

I'm also not a legacy or anything.

Anyways let me know what you think my chances are and let me know if there is anything I should add that would give ya'll a better idea. Thanks and good luck to everyone else applying to Vandy & elsewhere :)
