I don’t mean to hijack your thread, but since you mentioned Binghamton and Stony Brook, I was wondering what would be my chances:
Attended UCLA for a whole freshmen year as intl student
GPA - 2.75
Computer Science Engineering
30 credits
Relevant ECs with Engineering Societies, relevant work experience abroad as entry-level web-dev analyst
HS GPA - 4.3
SAT 1940/2400
Do I have any chance at Binghamton and Stony Brook?

the college admission process has completely changed recently with the state of the economy. SUNY’s, with subsidized tuitions and just as rigorous educations, have become extremely competitive over the past few years. Stony Brook and Binghamton are no longer guarantees, unless you’re a NY state resident, I’d say the odds of getting into SB and Bing are the same as BU and NYU…that being said, I don’t see why you’d pay the insane tuition of NYU and BU for a college transcript that’s just as accredited from SB/Bing for a fraction of the cost. That, in itself, is a decision that would effect the rest of your life.

ok trying to get into bing for accounting! I have a 3.25 overall a Nassau community college I work full time and go to school full time. I am going to finish my softmore year before transferring so I will be transferring as a junior
