What are my chances to get admitted at TCNJ?

My GPA is 3.52
ACT is 25 composite (equivalent to 1750-1790 SAT -2400- scale)
26 english
20 reading
28 math
26 science

*Wide variety of volunteering clubs/activites (more than enough) +and interact club executive

I want to major in Civil Engineering

-What are my chances if I apply regular decision?
-What are my chances if I apply early decision?

My stats were very similar to yours when I applied. I got in, but first I was waitlisted. It could go either way because you are on the borderline of what they want. What’s your class rank? Most people here were in the top 10% of their high school class when they graduated. Personally, I think you should apply ED, but only if you are completely positive TCNJ is the school for you. I was sure, even said if I got in here I was going, but I still didn’t apply ED. If there is even a lingering doubt that you might be happy somewhere else do not apply ED because than you are completely bound to the school. I’d say at regular you admission, you’ve got a 50-50 shot.

thanks a lot for the feedback… TCNJ is 1 of my top 3 colleges so I might pass on ED. Delaware and Penn State- University Park are my others. I think I’ll take my chances on RD because I can fall on other Universities if I don’t get admitted.

I didn’t do ED either as much as I loved TCNJ. I was pretty sure it was the school for me but i wasn’t sure. I also liked GW and UDel. But I didn’t get into GW and I decided that UD was just to big for me to handle. TCNJ’s a nice size. I always meet new people but I don’t feel like a number. Three out of four of my professors know my name this semester. At you UDel you would be lucky for one of them to know you, especially in gen ed. classes. I’m happy you’re making a decision that feels right for you. Remember, when it comes to college try not to settle, the last thing you want to do is regret your decision.

I agree, you have an okay shot, what did you get in M/CR? Tcnj doesn’t look at writing. Your GPA seems kind of slow so class rank would help us chance. I don’t think engineering is too competitive so you have that going for you. And ED would help.
