What are my chances to get to UPenn?

I'm a senior. Just wondering what my chances are to get into UPenn or any other Ivy. I plan to become a doctor later on too, and I'm pretty confident I'll follow through with this goal.

Personal Statement:
Wrote about how I lost a Taekwondo match, how it devastated me, and I learned self-confidence is more important than how others perceive me and stuff like that.

Writing supplement "Why UPenn?":
Wrote about the unique classes, research opportunities, medical internship opportunities, and its Taekwondo club. I added how I could gain from them and also how I could contribute to the research, volunteering, and Taekwondo club.

Reason why I attended 3 high schools was that Thomas Jefferson (TJ) was too stressful of an environment and my grades plummeted beginning of sophomore year, so I transferred out. I wanted to go to Flint Hill, which was a private school, but they didn't accept applicants mid year, so I just attended Langley for the rest of sophomore year. I was happy at Flint Hill because of the family-like community, actually helpful teachers, and the environment had a college-like feel to it.

Overall, I made it pretty obvious that I'm convinced that I wanted to become a doctor. I've also applied to a bunch of accelerated med programs at other schools (way harder to get into than many top schools), but I doubt I would get into those. I just want to know what are my chances of getting into UPenn or other top schools and what I can do to improve my application.

Maybe not my “chances” but whether I’m competitive enough, since it’s hard to determine the chance of getting into Ivys

Looks like you have a pretty good chance of getting in. Obviously, Ivy admissions are always a crapshoot, with some seemingly unqualified applicants getting in over better qualified students, and so on.

But you appear to have above average academics and exceptional ECs. Looks to me that you’ve a good chance at acceptance, assuming your essays weren’t horrific.

Apologies if I missed it, but I didn’t see any mention of which school at Penn you’re applying to. Each of them have differing acceptance rates, with Wharton being the most competitive. Would help a ton for determining your chances.

Applying to Wharton and thanks that really helps!

I’m not sure I get the connection between you being sure you want to be a doctor and applying to Wharton. For those interested in healthcare management/etc the combo can make sense but I’m not sure if that is your goal. IMO if you are applying to Wharton you need to justify why splitting your time between business studies and your preparation for medical school is worth it.

I think you are in the “zone of reasonableness” - nobody would be surprised of the outcome either way. GPA is maybe a bit on the lower side but at competitive high schools and it sounds like there is an upward trend. Qualitative stuff looks really great.

So you made it pretty clear that you want to go into medicine, yet you’re applying for Wharton? That makes absolutely zero sense.

Oh is Wharton the business one? My bad I meant the Arts and Science one. I got confused

I hope you were more careful on your “Why Penn?” essay.

Don’t worry I said College of Arts and Science

Your overall academics and ECs look great. But the admission officers might want to see your leadership role or any activity you did in school.

I would say you have a good shot. Can someone chance me?
