What are my chances? With my internet business

Hi!

I'm a Junior in a California high school, and like nearly every student, I'd love to attend Stanford. I just really need to get an opinion of where I'm at, and what I should focus on. Your input would be greatly appreciated!

FR GPA: 4.0
SF GPA: 4.0
JR GPA: 4.0
SR GPA: 4.4 (prediction) + Calculus class this summer at a community college

Class Rank: IDK, probably top 10 out of 300 kids at a public school

AP's: AP Composition, AP Computer Science, AP Stat, AP Lit, AP Bio, + Calculus

March 2013 SAT: 1700 (extremely disappointing - I know I can do MUCH better)

Background: male, Caucasian, Jewish, $150k+ household earnings

Internet Business Summary:

End of Freshman year I saw the movie "Social Network" and was inspired. I started reading every business, success, & entrepreneurial book I could find. Sophomore year I began learning about the internet & affiliate marketing business with $500 in capital. After numerous failed attempts I had finally created a successful profit earning website & sold it for a few hundred dollars. From there I just scaled up.

A year later and I'm now at $30,000. Hopefully by the time applications come I will have $100,000+.

Although I do enjoy money, I'm not fueled by it. I love donating to causes, and backing up projects on KickStarter that contribute to social change or environmental causes.

As far as a career path, I want to get into the alternative energy and sustainable products business.

This summer and next year I'll be possibly partnering with either a web design firm or non-profit company in the sustainability field (helping out with their marketing).

Extracurricular Activities/Hobbies:

Web design, programming, etc.

online marketing business

Local town's Quality of Life Youth Commission (hopefully will be on Senior Year - deals with sustainability)

surfing

soccer (freshman to sophomore year)

Well I think that's everything. Thanks in advanced!

I think it all hinges on your SAT at this point. Also were the APs u mentioned for your entire HS career or just the APs u have taken so far?

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

^ Those AP’s are for my entire HS career. My school only offers around 11 AP courses for academic subjects. By the end of HS I’ll have technically taken 7 of them (the other 4 I can’t take due mostly to schedule conflict). Many of the honors & AP courses at my school are for things such as photography, painting, ceramics, etc.

A few people have tried to PM me about this thread, but for some reason I don’t think messages on my end are being sent. Could you please leave your email so I can reply back. Thanks!

Does anyone else have any input?

Hey, don’t have much of an input, only that I would agree that your SAT is what has be improved if you want to go to a top tier college like Stanford. My buddy who’s interested in politics unexpectedly got accepted into Stanford recently besides a 4.0 and a amazing SAT score what set him apart was in his leadership. I’m not sure whether he decided whether to pursue something towards journalism at Stanford or political at Georgetown.
It seems you’re on track to become successful in your own way already. You’ve already earned over $30,000 from making websites? I’m a Sophomore and also extremely interested in the internet and business marketing. What are some sites you’ve made? I have yet to deeply learn about programming and web design, but I’ve been extremely interested for a while. What programming/business/entrepreneurial books really helped you and would you suggest?
