What are my chances?

My name is Dimitrije and I’m from Serbia and Montenegro (ex Yugoslavia).
In short. My biography:

I’m 18 years old and I’m the 4. grade (that’s like 12th grade in American high schools, senior year) in Mathematical high school. This is the best school in my country (so it’s high competitive school). My GPA is 5.00 out of 5. Rank top 10%. I was a member of Serbia and Montenegro team at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad in Romania 2005 and at IMO in Mexico 2005, but I didn’t win any medal.

Last year, I was first at National competition in Mathematic.
I have been the best in my generation at national informatic (programing) competition for last two years, but there were some students who are older and because of that I won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal on national competition, and 1 bronze on republic competition.
Physics (02-04): 2 sliver, 4 bronze
I’m the only one in my country who participated on three national competitions.
I didn’t work Sat yet, but my calculations are
SAT verbal 600-700 , math 800, writing 600-700.
SAT subject physics 750-800, math II 750-800 (but both probably 800),and I didn’t decide what is my 3rd subject(world history or chemistry)!!
I have trained basketball for 8 years in local club, tennis (2 years), swiming (1 year) and i’m in school basketball, soccer and handball team, and I also know to play table tennis. I’m also a member of school chess club (3 years)and debate club (from the begining, so it’s 1 year).
I have learned French for 4 years in my elementary school!!!
I took 2 seminars at petnica science centre (physics)
500+ hours of volonteer work.
I want to study engineering, economy, computer science or math.
I don’t have enough many to pay, so I need the scholaship.
Please, tell me what are my chances!!!

Thank you.

I mean my chances at Brown U!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how financial aid works for international students, but I've heard they're a little less generous. You'll have to look into that if money is a big issue.

To be honest, you sound like a terrific student and a strong applicant. Your English is very good, but from what you wrote it looks like you might struggle with writing an application (and, later, academic essays, etc) in English. If you do plan to apply to Brown, make sure to have your essay proof-read by an English teacher, and make sure your TOEFL scores are high.

well actualy, i didn't write this post, but i really do have some problems with english!1 I hope I will improve it till november!!!! I dont know when is deadline for Brown but if it's february then I have 3 months to prepare for retaking SATI in January!!! And I will have help for my aplication!!!!
I see that you are in Ann Arbor, what do you think, do I have a chance there??!!!

And ILoveBrown, THANK YOU for posting!!!!!!

The deadline for Early Decision at Brown is November 1, and the deadline for Regular Decision is January 1. You will need to take your SATs this fall. January is too late.

Are you also thinking of applying to the University of Michigan? It's a great place, with lots of interesting people and strong academic programs, though not as selective as Brown. Your chances might be pretty good there, although I have no idea what their standards are for international students. The U of M LSA (college of Literature, Science, and the Arts) requires a number of short essays for application, and they have rolling admission, so if you're serious about applying there, you really should get going. The earlier you apply, the better your chances (as opposed to Brown, which just has two separate deadlines).

Good luck!

OK. Thank you!!!!!!!!
