I am a junior in an Illinois private school, and I've just started the college process. There's a bit of a problem, though. My GPA is about a 3.0 because of a terrible freshman year. I have since brought it up about .4 points, but I can't fully recover from that year. My SAT is a 1950 (670 Writing, 640 Math, 640 Reading) and my ACT is a 30 (34 Writing, 24 Math, 31 Reading, 30 Science). I took the AP US History exam this year, and am taking APs next year in Psychology and European History, and possibly Macroeconomics and Government. I've done soccer and tennis for 3 years, been on Model UN for 2 years, volunteered at a soup kitchen, and done a service trip to the Dominican Republic. My question is: Will a liberal arts school (Dickinson, Franklin & Marshall, Colgate) be too far a reach, or do I have a shot? Thank you for reading.
