<p>wat in the world is this and how do i get it done by the end of this month??</p>

<p>Last I heard, if your self-financed you can get into alot(Not all!) of universities. Also at purdue being an Indian from India helps.</p>

Generally colleges that are not need blind to internationals tend to accept the student because he/she is not applying for aid. About purdue....they accept alot of Indians because they are the ones that do well there.</p>

<p>what a nice valentine gift from gatech!!....dun worry i have got one too!!....i have checked it up with a guy who has sent it....the total will touch $ 200 for us i think.... $ 120 for course-by-course eval + $ 30 for GPA eval + $ 50 for 5 day rush report (which i think will be necessary for us to meet the deadline)....and the frigging courier charges are extra...anyways i am gonno call up the Director of Admissions tonight....i am sure gonno argue long with him and i might as well give him a "dhamki" of withdrawing my app!!....man i can't tell you how much anger i have inside me due to this s h i t....so if at all i am sending my app to Silney bast ard it will be tomorrow....</p>

dexter & wasup i got the exact same mail from GaTech too. I'm so friggin ****ed..I replied saying that my school is an American school and we do the evaluation crap the same way that American schools do. I'm prolly gonna call them up and find out waht the deal with this is..</p>

<p>If you are a self-financed applicant, you will be pretty much a shoe in at all schools except for Ivys, MIT, Stanford, Top LACs.</p>
<p>ok an update in the gatech's freak email...i called up the assisstant director admisions and she just totally refused to do away with the external eval....she said that they incorporated this system this year so that they can analyse every intel on the same basis....and then i called up silney associates to check up when my eval will actually reach gatech...they said that evaluations are done only on weekdays and then after that they post the evaluations to the mentioned universities by REGULAR MAIL which might take 3-4 days more!!! A$$ HAULS!!....if you want them to send by express mail then u will have to include an "Express Mail Envelope"....so i think even 5 day- rush report won't work for us...we will have to select 2 day-rush reports to make the deadline....please tell me ppl what u r going to do....</p>

<p>i have no clue what to do...I'm still waiting for a reply to the e-mail I sent Mrs. Valerie Mack (GaTech rep that sent me the mail). I called GaTech today and the lady that answered the phone told me to wait for a reply to the email (she had a very thick southern accent, which made it difficult to understand what she was saying). So I guess I'll wait for the e-mail. GaTech's my first choice so, if I have to I mite as well spend $300..</p>
