I'm thinking of applying to University of TX-Arlington, Texas State-San Marcos, Stephen F Austin State, Angelo State university, University of TX-San Antonio, Texas Tech and maybe University of TX-Houston University of TX-Denton and Sam Houston State

I'm in CC. So I want to attend either one of those institutions as a transfer student. Right now I have a 2.6 GPA but i'm taking 9 hours currently. I'm on academic probation-I should be off this semester-i needed 6 more hours for the 67% completion rate-which is why i'm on probation. I struggled in math another reason for that, but I have gotten better this semester as I currently have a B this semester and I had a B spring semester. I took the class a couple of times, would that affect my admissions? I'm in the natural sciences club-I just enrolled this semester. I have worked obs, 1 which was on campus.

I was a great HS student-minus freshman year, but my grades in HS were A's and B's. I can't quite remember my GPA and class rank. I didn't do well on the SAT/ACT. I received a 1250 overall on the SAT and a 19 on the ACT which aren't good I know-but I can't afford to take them again and there's no fee waiver available for me.

Would it be wise to send recommendation letters although their not required? I filled out an application of ApplyTX, and I believe my essay is really great that maybe it will help me get the extra edge w/ the admissions staff.
