Hi,

I posted in the UT Austin board but didn't really get any responses.

My GPA is a bit weird. I went to 3 diff colleges (2 cc 1 uni which im still accepted a)
My first semester I became ill and it was past withdraw date and I made some stupid mistakes and ended up failing pretty much all my classes (had a 1.2 gpa)
Since then I had about 40 or so credits and my GPA in those 40 or so credits is around 3.8 and 3.9

I took some time off to work and support my family. I worked 2 full time jobs.. Anyways, I was thinking of McCombs (I started my own Business and I am in much better shape now financially), but realized I have no realistic chance so I am applying to College of Liberal Arts and Undergrad Studies.
I took 17 classes besides the one semester. Out of those I had 14 As 2 B and 1C (biology,im actually pretty weak in biology) I am taking 3 more classes this semester and expecting to make As in all 3 as well.

So, do I have a shot? I am getting Letter of Rec. and submitting resume, etc.
I took calculus, micro/macro economics, govt, etc.. and pretty much received As in all of them.
Will they see the trend and realize that one semester was just an anomaly?

Please help out, I am nervous as hell. Thanks a lot
