What Are My Chances?

Male, White, Out of state (New Jersey)

SAT: 1890 (570CR, 690M, 630W)
GPA: 3.0 unweighted, 3.4 weighted [School does not rank]
2 AP classes and 8 honors so far, a pretty competitive schedule

Extra curricular: President of 2 clubs, assistant editor of yearbook, manager of varsity sport with 3 varsity letters

All feedback welcome, Thanks in advance!!

The description of you seems like an average Caucasian male.

SAT: Pretty good, within the typical range but just a bit higher.
GPA: Not pretty good… (unless you were having personal issues).
A pretty decent amount of honors, not a lot of AP though.

Extracurricular: You seem pretty active, especially being president for two clubs, assistant editor, and a manager of varsity sport.

You may have a pretty good chance of getting in. The only thing that’s not really good is your GPA and the lack of AP classes. Otherwise it all comes down to the personal essay for your application.

It depends on what are you planning to study. Your statistics are on the average side. If you can improve your gpa, you may have a better shot. Good Luck
