I’m a junior from Chicago and I have recently discovered that BYU is my dream school! I was raised Catholic but am planning on be baptized into the LDS faith as soon as I turn 18, and the environment at BYU is just what I’m looking for. However, I’m worried about my chances of getting in. My GPA is 3.23, due to the fact that I was very sick for my sophomore year and the first semester of my junior year and missed a significant amount of school. The first time I took the ACT I got a 30, and I am planning on taking it at least twice more. I am hoping to receive at least a 32, if not higher. My GPA is not at all reflective of my abilities. I also come from a school were no one - and I mean no one - has ever attended or even applied to BYU. I am also planning on attending a six-week mission trip to Zambia during the summer. Taking all of these into consideration, do I have a chance of getting into BYU?

Thanks guys!
