I know i havent worked hard in highschool. I didnt realize that there was a major difference in the 4.0 scale and the just overall average. Im a junior now and i just found out what my grades are 2 A's 3 B's and a D. ive never made a C D or F in my life and im really worried about getting into UGA (i doubt i can even look at tech anymore). Ive always taken honors classes and this year i took up 2 AP classes and did good in them the only class i did bad in was precal. My GPA is like a 3.2 (i read unwieghted and weighted somewhere on this forum idk what that means though) and i think thats subject to go down after this semester. I can get like a 1410 on the PSAT and i have some extracurriculars. So what are my chances? thanks so much!

UGA is really easy to get into....especially for in state people.....just don't get that D and keep your grades up and you should be fine....

are you sure? What about Georgia tech and i have a question about how they wieght grades... I dont get it i have a 88 GPA but a 3.2 GPA on the 4.0 scale i havent taken any college prep classes so if mine was weighted would it be higher? thanks

your weighted GPA would be higher but different schools weight differently. At some schools an A in a honors/gifted/AP class is a 4.5 instead of a 4. At some schools GPA's can go as high as 6.0's. It depends. I'm guessing, since you haven't taken any regular classes, that your weighted GPA is much higher than a 3.2.
