Well, I just gave my next SAT yesterday. I am hoping about 650-700 in my cr, 700-750 writing and around 800(or 790) in Mathematics. And my gpa is 3.8. So what are my chances if I apply to this univesities?
1.Stony Brook University
2. Brown University
3. University of Texas at Dallas
4. Texas tech university
I want to get into them with full tuition scholarship? I have no idea . Can anywone suggest me a good idea?
Post when you get your official score.
You will get into Stony Brook if your scores are actually in that range. But they will not give you a full ride unless your scores and GPA are near perfect. Are you an NY resident?
As for Brown, I’m sure you know they don’t give “scholarships.” They give need based aid only since everyone accepted is academically qualified. Also, you’re going to want tippy top scores for them, obviously. Your scores don’t mean you’re in, but you’ll need high scores to be competitive in that applicant pool.
Good luck with your scores!
No I m not NY resident. I am an international student. SOUTH ASIAN. So I wanted to know abt the full ride scholarship programs
…
As an International applicant there are few schools that will give you a full ride scholarship unless you have top grades, test scores etc… Here is a link to help: http://automaticfulltuition.yolasite.com/
Hard to get full scholarship
If you get what you projected on the SAT, I don’t think you will have issues with any of them except Brown. Brown is an Ivy where admissions is very arbitrary and unpredictable. Plenty of students with excellent stats and excellent ECs get rejected.
Now in terms of scholarships, getting a full ride is typically difficult anywhere. Also, what is your state of residence? If you want a better chance at scholarships, your best bet is to look at your state schools.
@umcoe16 OP said they’re an international applicant. Which only makes those scholarships more competitive, right?
I want to get into the national university with good scholarship… my priority is utdallas too… would it be better if i wait a year and give sat subject tests and apply for ivies or just go to other universities? ?
@gumbymom I wanted to post after results are out but that would be too late for processing, I guess. And i have been scoring 2150 in my practise tsts. And I did good in the exams too… So I am posting this now…
