What are my chances?

Hi! I am currently a junior at a public high school in Texas. I am nervous about my acceptance into American and would love any advice and honesty on my admission chances!

Unweighted GPA: 3.8
Weighted GPA: 4.3
Composite SAT Score: 1920
I haven’t taken the ACT yet but am planning to in June

I will have taken 11 AP courses by graduation
I am a member of the National Honor Society and my school’s societies of excellence for academics
I am the head of one of my schools clubs, will be a head of buildOn next year, and am involved in some other organizations
I will have had a job working 12+ hours a week throughout my junior and senior years
I volunteer at a local community center and am leading a trek to Haiti this summer for ten days to build a school through buildOn
I have attended a local information session and traveled to D.C. to take a tour/ different information session (what else should I do to show demonstrated interest?)
I plan on applying early decision to strengthen my chances of acceptance

ANY ADVICE IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
Thank you!!

If you apply Early Decision, I think you will get in for sure. ED admission rate this year was 89% while RD admission rate was 22%. The overall admission rate was 25%.

The only thing I would recommend is keep showing interest. If American is at a college fair, go to the fair and get beeped in. If they come to your high school, go and see the rep that is there. Do an interview if you can and visit again if the opportunity arises. A counselor told my son, you want your admissions folder to be as fat as possible.

Good luck!

Following on what @NESeattleMom said, I would also recommend opening every email American sends and clicking on embedded links. If they send an email about a webinar, sign up for it and then actually login and attend the webinar (hint - if you don’t stay online for the whole webinar, it’s OK).

@Themclos what is the email for American University because I have been wanting to sign up for it?
