ECs: Columbia Science Honors Program, Science Olympiad(one of 6 captains, some medals ), Science Bowl(Vice prez), Ocean Bowl(prez, went to nationals and placed 9th), Quiz Bowl(Prez), AAPT Physics Bowl( regional champions), Hospital Volunteering (~150 hours) , tutoring organization volunteering (100+ hrs, leadership); there are others but probs not too significant.
Ethnicity: Asian
Is the 3.72 GPA weighted because that is the only factor that is hindering your chances. ACT and SAT scores are phenomenal and are up to par with Brown and you EC’s are great. Your chances are pretty good (I’d say 15-25% chance of getting in?) but again you GPA is weighing you down. Make up for it with your essay and supplementals.
Your GPA is low-ish for Brown, but your other stats are great. Your ECs are strong but not necessarily unique in the Brown applicant pool. I think your decision could go either way. Good for you for applying ED- that will only increase your chances. Best of luck!
