Hi all!! I’m a senior, and I really want to get into LSU. I go to a well known, top high school in Louisiana, and I take all honors classes with some AP, but I’m scared that my credentials could get me rejected.
Unweighted GPA: 2.67
ACT: 27
Their automatic admission requirements are a 3.0 GPA and a 22 ACT score. Is there still a chance for me to be admitted if I apply really early and have good teacher recommendations??
Many schools (state schools) have “auto-accept” or automatic admission requirements that are usually higher than the average qualifications of an admit at their school. I definitely think you still have a chance at admission since your ACT score is higher than their ACT requirement for auto-accept. If you apply early and get good teacher recs, that will improve your chances even more. Good luck! I would appreciate if you could chance me back here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1995754-chance-me-low-gpa-rank-cornell-rice-wash-u-ucla-etc-p1.html
