I’m going into my senior year of high school with a 1.9 gpa , is it possible for me to raise my gpa at this point? I’m taking 3 AP classes & im wondering if that going to help raise my gpa
Honestly, even if you do raise your GPA, you can’t do anything to increase your chances for colleges.
I’d suggest not taking 3 AP’s as you are clearly not well prepared to do so. Further, I’d strongly suggest that you go to a community college before thinking about a four-year university – that way, you can prove your intelligence and demonstrate that you are smarter than your high school GPA indicates. You will also be much more likely to succeed and will have the opportunity to catch up and learn how to work hard/get good grades.
Right now, the issue is not your GPA. Whether you raise it by .3 points or not is irrelevant. What matters is that you seriously consider how you are going to approach college and how you are going to prepare yourself to perform better in school. If there is anything you are far behind in (e.g. math or English), now is the time to study outside of class and catch up. Now is also the time to speak with your parents and teachers to determine what you are going to do in the years ahead (is college for you, or should you start thinking about getting a serious job?). I wish you the best of luck and would be happy to help more through a PM.
