What are my chances?

Someone chance me please.

  • Instate community College -Will have 62 credits after this semester -Currently have a 3.74 GPA, will probably go up to 3.80 after this semester (just incase I need to reapply next fall) -Not worried about my essays or EC's.

BUT I have 2 W’s on my transcript for calc 1, will this screw me over? I’m applying as political science LSA.

HS was 3.5gpa with 22act.

I would recommend working on that GPA, if I remember correctly the greater amount of credits you have the less they look at your HS stats. 62 credits is a good amount to transfer with although the cap for LSA is 60 credits (speaking from experience). Also considering your transfer is from a community college, UofM has some great programs for cc students once they’re on campus in terms of assistance and involvement here. May I ask why you’re not worried about your essays? Those are pretty important in applying too…

I had multiple friends and family (who are former U of M alum) read my essays and they said it was great. Can you please chance me? My cousin got in with a 3.77 community college gpa, so I was thinking i should be okay. I’m just worried about the W’s

The transfer college GPA average was 3.65 last year. So 3.74 is fine.

What about the W’s? @billcsho

@Jd12345 No idea on that as it is not shown on the stat.

What do you mean by that? They can’t see my W’s? @billcsho

They can see it, but I don’t know how they would think about it. Just don’t worry about what you cannot change.

Hey there, if this helps I had a W and my friend had three we both still got into LSA as junior transfers.

That gives me so much hope, I love you. Akk@uofm

Would you say I have a decent chance? AKK@uofm
