College list (probable) Grinnell, Hamilton, Berea, Trinity, Carleton. (Am I aiming too high? I got waitlisted and then rejected from Carleton, Trinity, Colby and Middlebury last year).

I am from Bangladesh, and I need a hefty amount of scholarship to afford any uni. I cannot contribute more than 3000 per year so you have the idea. (Kindly also suggest universities/colleges which provide a lot of aid to international students). I'm still pretty naive abt my relative standing, so please advise me abt my chances...

Your academics seem pretty good, going by your SATs. But how can you be ranked if you are homeschooled?

And don't homeschooled kids need to take like 5 or more SAT IIs? I dunno!

ooooh.. a bangladeshi! loll.. congratz on the daily star awards... those stuff make us happy :P

u hav pretty cool academics to back u up. Keep an eye on ur essays as from wat i can think, that may hav been wat stopped u from getting in. The internship should definitely add up and so should ur rising star? (i am guessing) job. Abt aid, well trinity does not take too many internationals, at least that has been the case for the past few years, but it seems to generallyt fullfill aid requirement of all. I have 2 pay less than I offerred and I from Bangladesh too. Currently we have four bangladeshis here and all are quite happy with the aid offers. As far as other schools are concerned, most liberal arts do give a lot of aid except for Haverford which only gives aid to two intls every year. Apply to places like swarthmore, bowdoin, lafayette, macalester, oberlin.. etc etc...

very good chance

thanks a lot ppl...

Irrationale > I didnt bother to apply to swarthmore coz they have a pretty high SAT score range and i thought id never have a chance. Anyways, ur advice is definitely very helpful. Umm... I was thinking if I can have your email address. It's nice to have some from BD to correspond with when you have questions.
