<p>Course Load: Hardest courses available at my school (I did a lot of doubling up)

8 years of Foreign Language (Spanish and French)</p>

<p>Recommendations: should be very good, living in a small town and going to a small school I know all my teachers and counselors very well.</p>

<p>Essays: I am not a stellar writer, but they should not be too shabby, they will not be bad enough to hurt me, they just won’t be spectacular</p>

<p>Sports: 4 years of Varsity Tennis
Played 1 Singles
Went to State 3 Times
Captain for 2 years</p>

<p>Extracurricular:
Ran my own tennis racquet stringing, gripping, and racquet selling type business
Volunteered at the Elementary School after school once a week
Volunteered at a soup kitchen through my church
Taught young children at local tennis camp
Went to Boys State through the American Legion</p>

<p>Well I can say that I didn't have as many extracurriculars but did have 11 APs and similar rank yet higher GPA but lower ACT score and got in. I'm currently Yale '11 and I had only 3 years of Foreign Language while all the other subjects are equivalent or more. Write solid essays and get great recs and I think you definitely have a very good shot.</p>

<p>If you turned a profit- (say 1000s)- make sure to mention this. A fantastic extra-curric.</p>

<p>Remember profit is different than revenue of course :-D Though revenue would look nicer lol.</p>
