What are my chances?

International student, not having studied abroad.

GPA-3.8(3.3-->4.0 trend) top 10 students
no APs because my school does not offer any.

-Translated California Air Resource Board Regulation Document(about 100 pages)
-Research work for Fire Marshall of my country(comparing my country with other countries; the US, austrailia, Hong Kong, England)(2006-2007)

Working experience-some petty things

Essay: great hook, very personal essays that I suppose no one could ever have experienced the same one as I have. Yet, the essay is not dull; for example, i didn't write about death, or my working experience, MUN, or something like that every international student would usually write about. I chose extremely rare experience of mine to show what I am. Actually, this experience showed me what I am.

I am looking for Yale(EA), Columbia(ED)-not sure, though. I Think Columbia, Dartmouth, Williams, and Amherst right now. I just haven't chosen where to go.

Your ECs are really great. And you've definitely got a shot. But you're an international student so your 'shot' is a lot smaller than that of a US student with similar stats.

Good luck.

what experience might that be?

I don't know anything about your ECs; I suggest submitting an extra sheet explaining some of them. I don't see the average ADCOM knowing what many of those foreign ECs are about.

One thing: I'm pretty certain that you can't apply to Yale EA and Columbia ED at the same time, if that is what you intend to do...
