I want to be a journalist, specializing in international relations. Thanks guys!

Looks pretty solid to me. The only thing missing is volunteering, but maybe you just didn't list that? My only suggestion is to find something that makes you stand out because 90% of the kids applying to the likes of Yale/Harvard/Princeton will have "numbers" every bit as good as yours. Good luck!

thanks for your response. Yeah, I didn't put on the volunteer stuff but here it is:

For the first semester of my junior year I was part of a committee that organized a 3-hour conference designed to bring teen issues to the forefront of Oklahoma politicians' minds. It involved about 2 hours a week for 4 months.

I was also the Communications Chair for the Speech tournament we host at our school, which is about 40 hours of work.

Plus various other service stuff, but those are the two major ones.

And then, the extra hook thing: I was thinking that TASP (Telluride Association Summer Program) would be a major boost for me, since only 80 students get chosen each year from about 900 applicants. It's like the humanities version of RSI. I'll also probably get a great recommendation letter from the professors, which will be rare in the applicant pool.

Anyway, I hope that gives some more insight. Thanks again.

c'mon guys, i want your input
