What are my chances?

<p>SAT: Cr 680, Math 730, Writing 760
applying to HSS for a double major in psych and bio
GPA: uw 3.66, w 4.47
SAT II: not yet taken
ECs: very very involved musician. plays flute in local youth orchestras, bands, and chamber ensembles. takes lessons. participates in all state ensembles. editor and contributor of the school literary magazine since freshman year. involved in religious community and activities. some community service. has attended music camp for three years.
APs: my school only offers them to seniors but 4 honors classes now and 4 aps + honors next year.
Some minor academic awards but not connected to school. </p>

<p>Write some good essays, interview if you can, and it is my humble opinion that you are in! Check out the stats on the accepted threads, and I’ll bet you stand very well. Though I would DEFINITELY apply for more than one school within CMU (though they only let you apply early to one-the rest will go to regular decision). Apply to as many as you think you can make a case for desiring a major within that school-write about each one in the essay, and then if God forbid you don’t get in ED, they will consider you for the rest. Then transfer, easy to do so into HSS. That is, if CMU is a top choice for you.</p>
