What are my chances?

Hi everyone. I'm a senior looking to apply at a couple colleges and I wanted to know my shot at getting in some schools I'm applying to.

GPA:
- Freshman 3.43 UW
- Sophomore 3.9 UW, 4.06 W
- Junior 4.0 UW, 4.67 W
- Cumulative 3.79 UW 4.05 W

SAT: 760 CR, 800 Math, 770 Writing (2330 overall)

AP Scores:
- 5 World History
- 5 US History
- 5 Chemistry
- 5 Computer Science A
- 5 Spanish Language

Currently taking:
- AP Physics BC
- AP Gov/Econ
- AP Calc BC
- AP Statistics
- AP Psych
- English

SAT II:
- Math II 800
- Chemistry 750
- Physics I'm taking the coming weekend

Extra-Curriculars
- Member/Secretary/Vice-President/President of Robotics Club
- Placed internationally in robotics competitions
- Member of Peer Tutoring Club
- Member of Science Olympiad
- Member of Mu Alpha Theta
- Work part-time helping out at a small engineering firm (Could be considered paid internship?)
- Interned over summer at a start-up Biotech company
- Have around 100 volunteer hours
- One year of JV Tennis

I'm hoping to be a mechanical engineering major.

Colleges
- UC Berkeley (I live in California)
- UC Los Angeles
- UC Davis
- Harvey Mudd College
- Carnegie Mellon
- Caltech
- Cal Poly

The main thing I'm worried about with my application is that due to my Freshman GPA, my overall is low, but since my sophomore year I've only had one B. How much will that hurt me? Also, are there any other schools that you think would suit me?

bump… can anyone chance me please?

UC Berkeley: Match
UCLA: low reach(i think you’ll get in)
UC Davis: match
CMU: in
Harvey Mudd: reach( i think you’ll get in)
Caltech: reach( i don’t see you getting in)
Cal Poly: IDK

What is your rank? I assume it is not high seeing your low freshman and sophomore GPAs

UC Berkeley (I live in California)- in

UC Los Angeles - in

UC Davis - in

Harvey Mudd College - high match

Carnegie Mellon- high match

Caltech - probably not

Cal Poly - yeaaaa sonnn

I don’t think freshman year gpa is very important at all, I don’t think the UCs even look at it. Assuming you have a fairly high class rank, I’d say you are guaranteed entry to all UCs and Cal Poly. CMU, Harvey Mudd, and Caltech would all be high match to low-mid reaches.

My overall class rank is still somewhere in the top 10%, I’m not sure exactly what rank it is. And, well, for my school my sophomore GPA is considered fairly high as my school only allows students to take 1 AP class sophomore year with very few exceptions. It doesn’t weight honors either so realistically the max GPA for anyone’s sophomore year would be a 4.12 if they get all As. I got 1 B so it dropped me to a 4.06 W and around a 3.92 UW
