What are my chances?

Hey i am a junior... could you please give me feedback on my chances for college?

GPA: 3.7/ 4.4
Freshman/ sophomore: all honors
Junior: All honors and 2 ap
Senior: All honors and probably 3 ap
ACT: 34
SAT: Havent taken yet (from the deep south)
PSAT: 214

ECs (by the time i have finished hs): Baseball 4 years (varsity 2), basketball 1 year, Honors choir 2 years, volunteer (300+ hours)- specializing in interaction with special needs children/adults (this includes running a baseball camp for children with downs syndrome), special olympics volunteer, class board sophomore year, in a club sophomore year that was headed by the principal and met to focus on improving life for the school and students, spanish club junior year, several other clubs, guitar 3 years

Accomplishments: 2006 Duke TIP National Scholar, National Merit Semifinalist/ Finalist for 2011 grads., Mu Alpha Theta, National Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society, School Honor Roll

Went too a mediocre public school for my first two years and transferred to a smaller, but much better, catholic private school for my last two years (since i am not catholic and this was a difficult experience trying to adjust to a new school, would i be able to use this as an essay topic?) Class standing at first school... 8/334... at new school n/a (probably near 3-8/165)

Caucasian, first person in family to go to college out of my home state, upper middle income... what are my chances of being accepted to these schools? harvard, yale, stanford, wustl, northwestern, bc, rice, uva, and unc (first 4 are my top choices)

Thanks!

harvard, yale, stanford-15% chance of getting in
wustl, northwestern-30%
UVA, UNC-40%
Rice-50%
Boston College-In

FYI, these are just educated estimates based on what I’ve read on CC and in various books.

thanks for the input

agreed, you have a great ACT score and ECs. I think your chances for Harvard depends HIGHLY on your SAT score. You are extremely competitive for Rice and Boston, and Northwestern (unless you are going for HPME, in which case you need to show more passion for medical stuff)

I wouldn’t pick that as an essay subject, it doesn’t really seem very deep/personal. However, if you sincerely feel that it profoundly impacted your life, then go for it.

i agree with bluewind, do a a awesome essay you should be good
goodluck:)
