My daughter has just applied to these wonderful colleges and is waiting to hear back. She is kinda nervous cause she has not done to well in school but is very involved in extracurriculars and community service. She wants to go into Engineering which is already a pretty competitive major. Please let me know? Also her first semester just ended too so im not sure if colleges want to see that
GPA: 3.3 (UW) 4.1 (W)
SAT- 1760 math is 620, english is 550, writing is 590
ACT: 25
AP classes she has taken: Psychology, Macroeconomics, English
Currently taking: AP Physics 1 (B), AP Calculus AB ©, AP Calculus BC (just started), AP Computer Science (B), Honors English (A), Honors Spanish III (B), Honors American History (just started)
Extracurricular: In a lot of clubs including economics club, and even started her own clubs including Stand up to Cancer and Protecting Animals Welfare Society. She is also on the varsity tennis team and is in National Honor Society, Mu Alpha theta (Math honor society), National Technical Honor Society, and Science Honor Society!
Community service: She started her own charity for leprosy patients and volunteers a lot with the American red Cross. She also helps out at church. She does other things too but the list just goes on!
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
