  • by the way, I really appreciate any advice you could possibly give me to appeal more to these universities, and yes I understand some of the above isn't completed but, some are what I am on course of doing.
  • I heard that Stanford doesn't want nerds per say but smarter "quirky" people who are very talented or passionate in a specific area, whereas MIT really just wants the brightest of the brightest. What about Harvard?
  • What else should I add to my draft application?
  • Which university does my application appeal to the most, I figured Stanford
  • Stanford is my number one choice by far.
  • Is it a bad idea to write a common app essay about hard work and passion in ice hockey seeing that i live in dubai and don't have access to much in terms of ice hockey and how i combated this? or do sport related essay's usually get tossed out? should it be about my love for computers instead?

the 33-34 listed are ACT points [lets be optimistic and assume its 34

Wow! Your achievements are very impressive! I would say that you’re a strong competitor for top schools because of your unique achievements that strongly relate to your interest. I don’t think I can give you any advice except to keep your grades and test scores high and to keep doing what you’re doing. In regards to the essay, I think writing about your love for ice hockey even when you live in Dubai brings a unique perspective, which sets it apart from a generic sports essay, so if you really want to write about it, go for it!

Thanks a bunch for replying!
and thank you for the awesome advice!

Congrats on all those achievements. You have a chance on getting into any of those schools, but don’t count on it at the same time. Regarding the essays, sports are usually a bad idea, but if you think you can tie living in Dubai enough to make it unique and flavorful, then go for it. Best of luck to you, keep working hard and you’ll prosper wherever you go!

thanks alot for the reply and input!

@Guydude01 You are undoubtedly a very impressive student and you could definitely get into any of these three. That said, keep in mind that Harvard, Stanford, MIT are considered the most prestigious US schools and they are definitely the most prominent ones on an international level. As a result most of the very top students (and especially international students), have one or more of these three at the top of their lost, so they competition to get in is beyond insane. Make sure you apply to other good but more attainable choices.

Thanks, i really appreciate your advice! is there anything i should take up during the summer to be a better candidate?
and if you also dont mind me asking, in which order from most appealing to least does my application look to the 3?
