What are my options (incorrect amount disbursed)

I posted about this last week but the short version is that I received $1000 less than I was supposed to receive when they disbursed financial aid for spring semester. I have gone over and over the numbers, both from my original award and the direct disclosure statement, plus I have kept every email over the past six months which verifies the amount I should be getting. I also have several emails since October where I have asked specific questions about the status of my financial aid and each email response from the FA counselor states that my aid has not and will not change or decrease for spring 2011. The most recent of these emails is dated January 4, yet on January 22 they disbursed the wrong amount. I have emailed two financial aid counselors regarding this and have not gotten a good explanation, one didn't even try to explain and the other said I was "unevenly disbursed and received more in the fall". That is not true, I received the correct amount in the fall, not more than I should have. She has not responded to my second email where I detailed what I just wrote here.

If there was a logical explanation I would accept it, but the more they don't explain and/or ignore me, the more I am determined to get some kind of resolution or at least decent response. I know you can appeal an award, but I was happy with my award, its the disbursement that is wrong. Can I appeal that? Do I just document everything and email the financial aid director? What should my next step be?

As a side note, I am so thankful I do all my corresponding with these people via email. If anything will help me, it might be all the emails I have where I addressed every possible situation that could affect my aid and was repeatedly told nothing had or would change. Might not help, but certainly shows that I'm not just making this up.

E-mail is nice for the documentation, but I think you need to make an appointment with your FA officer. That way, you can show them your numbers and they can’t ignore you.

I may have to do that. Its difficult because my classes are at night when the FA office is closed, and we only meet once a month. I live in a different town than my school, so I’d love to resolve this quickly without a trip in there, but I will if I haven’t gotten anywhere in a day or two.
